43. Give an account of glycolysis. Where does it occur? What are the end products? Trace the fate of these products in both aerobic and anaerobic respiration.

Glycolysis occurs in cytoplasm. One glucose molecule forms 2 pyruvic acid molecules.

In anaerobic conditions it forms 2 ATP and ethanol + water.
