Write a test to detect the presence of double bond in a molecule.
(i) Br in CCl test When Br /CCl is added on double bond then orange colour of bromine disappears and dibramo type addition product will form which is colourless.
(ii) Bayer's test When alkaline solution of KMnO4 is added to the solution of alkene then its pink colour disappears due to the formation of dihydroxy or diol type product.
