Chlorophyll present in green leaves of plants absorbs light at $4.620 \times 10^{14} Hz .$ Calculate the wavelength of radiation in nanometer. Which part of the electromagnetic spectrum does it belong to?

Wavelength,

λ = \frac{c}{v}

Given,

frequency v = 4.620 \times 10^{14} Hz or 4.620 \times 10^{14} s^{- 1}

λ = \frac{c}{v} = \frac{3 \times 10^{8} {ms}^{- 1}}{4.620 \times 10^{14} s^{- 1}}

= 0.6494 \times 10^{- 6} m

= 649.4 nm [∵ 1 nm = 10^{- 6} m]

Thus, it belongs to visible region.
