NEET Telangana State Quota 2021: Seats, participating Colleges, Cutoff, Counseling, and Merit List

The admission process of Telangana will be Conducted by Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Telangana. NEET Seat Matrix is the number of seats available in various Private and Government Medical and Dental Colleges of the state. The candidates can get admission through NEET to their dream colleges if they score minimum cutoff marks. Candidates who have secured Cutoff scores in NEET-UG Examination can fill the application form for the counseling Procedure.

CBSE has decided to reduce the syllabus from Class IX to XII and this could also have an impact on the syllabus of NEET 2021. However, for those who are in class 11 or 12, their focus should be Exam Preparation. NEET syllabus is divided into four subjects - PhysicsChemistryBotany and Zoology. Students need to complete all the 97 chapters of the NEET Syllabus in order to score a good rank in NEET Exam. State Eligibility Criteria :

  1. Students who have studied/resided in a local area for a period of not less than four years and the last year should be of passing the Class 12 examination.
  2. If the candidate has studied in the two or more local areas for seven consecutive years and the last year of qualifying Class 12, then the area in which the candidate had stayed the most number of years will be considered.
  3. If an applicant had stayed an equal number of years out of the seven consecutive years, then the last stayed area will be considered.

Counseling and Admission Process of Telangana NEET :

Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Telangana is the authority that will be conducting the Counselling and Admission process of Telangana.

The admission to MBBS/BDS courses will be done by taking qualified state candidates from NEET (NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST). The selection of colleges is a step of the NEET counseling process which will be conducted and managed online. The counseling process will be conducted after the declaration of NEET Results. The merit list of the exam will be updated regularly as per the counseling process.

Counseling Committee reserves the right to withdraw the name of the candidate from the merit list of state, if any, placed inadvertently who is not eligible to be placed in the state merit list due to any reason.

KNRUHS will conduct two rounds of Telangana MBBS/BDS counseling for admission to medical and dental colleges in the state. Candidates included in the state merit list will be eligible to participate in the counselling procedure.

Process of counseling:

Registration: All the merit listed candidates who wish to participate in the counseling procedure for admission must register in due time in the Official Website. Registration means creating your own username and password for logging in to the online counseling site. Without registration, the candidate cannot proceed to the next step of the online application. The user name and password must not be shared with others.

Online Application: After log-in to the site the candidate has to fill up the online application form and submit by clicking the “submit” button. A printout of the online application form must be taken.

Document Verification: The candidate has to attend the document verification session and get his/her online application authenticated. In case of emergency, any authorized person on behalf of the candidate can attend on the production of the authorization letter of the candidate. The candidate has to submit the counseling/application fees through online mode and taking the print out of the transaction. The candidate has to submit self-attested copies of documents along with Originals.

Choice Locking: The candidate has to submit his/her choice of course and college in order of preference as per schedule, in the online site, and lock the choice. If the choice is not locked due to some reason, it will be locked automatically when the time schedule is over.

Seat Allotment: College and course will be allotted on merit basis. The candidate can download the allotment cum admission letter and personally appear before the Chairman on the notified date, time, and venue along with required admission fees for provisional admission. The candidate has to deposit the original College Leaving Certificate / School Leaving Certificate as the case may be and will be issued a provisional admission letter.

Reporting to the Allotted College: The candidate must report before the authority of the institution allotted within the stipulated date as notified and submit a copy of the provisional admission letter for completion of the admission process at the institutional level.

Candidates must carry the allotment letter along with other required documents while reporting to the allotted college.

Documents Required for Admission :

Candidates are required to bring the following valid original documents along with one set of attested copies at the time of admission without which his/her candidature will not be considered:-

i) High School Certificate and Marksheet.

ii) Intermediate Mark sheet and Certificate.

iii)Two passport size photographs as pasted in the NEET application form.

iv) Domicile Certificate, if applicable.

v) Minority certificate, if applicable.

ix) Permanent Caste Certificate.

x) Passing certificate of having studied from Class 6 to 12 from an institution in the state.
