NEET 2020 Counselling Process - Dates, Registration and Documents Required

Counselling for NEET will begin in the second week of June, 2020 for Central counselling (15% All India Quota seats) and will be conducted in two rounds, with the first round starting around second week of June 2019, whereas the State counselling (85% State Quota seats) will be conducted in three rounds, commencing on 25th June 2020, as announced by The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Every year lot of students prepare for NEET to turn their dream into reality and all they need is accurate NEET syllabus to prepare. NEET Syllabus is divided into four subjects - Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. Students need to complete all 97 chapters of NEET Syllabus in order to score good rank in NEET Exam. Every year more than 14 lakh students appear for NEET Exam but how to know which college is good for you. A right college involves a number of factors such as college fees, location, facilities, exposure and placements.

The eligible candidates will be required to register for counselling through online mode. Candidates who will secure the minimum qualifying percentile of NEET will be eligible to appear for the counselling process. The minimum qualifying percentile is 50th percentile for General candidates, 45th percentile for General-PwD candidates and 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC candidates.

The result of NEET counselling 2019 will be declared in the form of the seat allotment list and seat allotment letter.

NEET Counselling Procedure:

Step 1: Registration

Candidates must register on the official website of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), provide requested details and generate the Registration slip

Step 2: Submission of Choice & Locking

Candidates have to fill out the choices of course and colleges as per their preferences and click on ‘Save’ to Lock their preferences

*please note that choice locking will only be available for a specific time during a day

Step 3: Seat Allotment Result

The Seat allotment results are declared within a few days of counselling and candidate receives information via SMS or e-mail

Step 4: Modify & Lock Seat Choices

If the candidates are dissatisfied with their allotments, they can modify and lock their choices on the MCC official website

Step 5: Reporting to Allotted College

Candidates have to report to the allotted colleges and pay initial fee to confirm their seat and complete admission process.

Step 6: Second round of Counselling

If candidate is still not satisfied with the allotted seats, they can proceed for the second round of counselling.

Question: Free Exit for NEET counselling round?

Answer: Free exit means if a candidate is allotted a seat in the round one of NEET 2019 counselling but do not report/join the allotted college then s/he will not be penalized and will be eligible to participate in the next round of counselling.
